Zaida Sabatés studied at the Superior Professional School of Art and Restoration of Barcelona, and later complemented these studies with specialized courses in the Massana School and the Llotja School of Design and Art. With fourteen years of professional career on her back, she worked at Arts & Claus, one of the most important companies in the sector, where she had the opportunity to develop important projects in hotels, shops, homes and restoration businesses.
She is specialized in decorative finishes through the use of traditional painting techniques like marble imitation, patinas, or trompe l’oeil, among others. Without losing sight of tradition, she suggests a new way of understanding classical decorative painting, adapting it to new trends. Uniting creativity with a contemporary point of view, she puts these resources at the service of all types of clients, to decorate public spaces and private homes, recover old stuccos, paint or restore furniture and create film/theater sets or collaborate with different events.
Zaida’s brand collaborations include Shon Mott, Zara Home, Eastpack, Flax & Kale… and her portfolio keeps growing.
Her art can also be seen in several music videos (Chemical Brothers, Cut Copy or the Spanish group Los Punsetes).
