Paco Tomás is an award-winning scriptwriter, known for his work in press, radio and television. Based in Madrid, but raised in Mallorca, he has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Complutense University. Also, he studied screenwriting at TAI Film School.

Versatile writer with long experience, he has worked for the best-known newspapers and magazines in Spain: Diario de Mallorca, Última Hora, El Mundo, El Español, Shangay, El Asombrario or Agencia EFE. As a screenwriter on television, he has worked for successful spanish national TV shows such as Alaska y Segura, Cachitos de Hierro y Cromo, Carta Blanca or Versión Española.
Paco Tomas is the creator, director, and conductor of the first LGTBI+ program for the public radio in Spain: La Transversal. Since 2010, he hosts and directs a new weekly radio show for the LGTBI+ community in RNE: the award winning, Wisteria Lane. He is also a well-known face on television who collaborates as a guest and panelist in talk shows such as, La hora de la 1 (TVE). His statements and speeches usually go viral on social media.
His work as co-showrunner and screenwriter of the documentary series “Nosotrxs Somos” was honored with the Rey de España Award of Cultural Journalism and Social Development 2020.
Paco Tomás is the author of two novels: Los Lugares Pequeños and Coto Privado De Infancia.
For the scene he wrote the plays: Esta Noche Viene Pedro, Tóxicas, Black Apple and Los Párpados Sellados.
His has received numerous awards and recognitions. In 2013 he was honored with the Pluma Mediática Award created by the National Federations of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexual and Transexuals (FELGTB). In 2014 he received the Gold Halegato Award for his work in defense of the rights of the LGTB community. One year later he was awared with the FanCine Gay given by Fundación Triángulo de Extremadura. In 2019 he received the most significant award in the Spanish gay community, the Triángulo Award given by COGAM.
He is member of the Foundational Board of Pedro Zerolo Foundation and part of the advisory Board at the Cinemateca Pedro Zerolo.
He is also a contributor to the rtve radio program “Las Tardes de RNE” in the “Bloc de Notas” section.
