DAVID CASTILLO

Actor · Influencer

David Castillo began to speak almost between cameras, because when he was only 7 years old, his parents introduced him to the world of advertising after he saw an ad for breakfast, where they took children in a kind of spaceship. That’s when he decided that he also wanted to dedicate himself to that. After that initial career as an advertising image, he took part in several television series such as ”Hospital Central”, ”Ana y los 7” and ”Manolito Gafotas”, based on the homonymous character of Elvira Lindo, giving life to Jihad during thirteen chapters. The leap to cinema took place in 2004, with a minor role in ”El séptimo día” by Carlos Saura and another of greater importance in ”Cachorro” where he played Bernardo, a nine year old boy who, due to circumstances, has to live with his homosexual uncle.

In 2005, he joined the cast of ”Aida” with which he achieved great popularity throughout its almost ten years of broadcasting, playing Jonathan Garcia, the youngest of the children of Aida Garcia.

From 2011, he began to act in plays, such as ”Münchhausen”, ”Naturaleza muerta en una cuneta” (2012-2013) or ”Emilia” (2014).

In 2015 he was selected to be part of the Joven Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico. One of his latest theatrical participations has been the play ”Lulu”, with which he has toured several cities in our country.

David is a music lover, a passion that has led him to play in private parties, clubs and festivals around the country. His followers are very loyal and follow them both in these sessions and in their social networks, so there are many brands that have been interested in collaborating with him.

He has participated in the filming of “Los Nuestros Dos”, the second season of the Telecinco miniseries and in the Antena 3 series “Amar es para Siempre” in its seventh season. He is part of the cast of the Amazon Prime series, “El Cid”, the first series of this Spanish production platform premiered in late 2020 whose second season is already available, and David returns to star as Squire Lisardo. In addition, he is one of the choral actors starring in Disney Plus‘ first Spanish-produced series directed by Paco León, “Besos al aire”.

With theater play, “Retorno al hogar” he has been touring all over the country in 2023. In addition, he has started his career as a writer with the publication, in the same year, of his poetry book “Piedra de madera”.
